Individual hooking up my Bose surround sound and receiver was very professional and was not satisfied until I was. Stayed on the job until completed to my satisfaction.
Cost was very reasonable. Service at it's best. I will use this firm for all my electronic needs.

I recently purchased a home theater set-up from Definitive Home Theater with components from Pioneer, Dennon, Toshiba, and Proficient. I was not terribly concerned with the overall costs, and I was planning to spend somewhere within the range of $7,500 - $11,500 for the components and the installation. The room that we were going to install everything into had some limitations, including a pitched roof, a somewhat limited seating area, a fireplace "surround" running floor to ceiling that required some clever wiring solutions, and a wall cut-out that would accommodate only a 42" screen. Realizing that the TV image size was going to be less than 60", and trying to find the right "balance" between the video image and the audio equipment, Jason @ DHT took it upon himself to walk me through the pros and cons of whether or not to purchase a top-of-the line surround sound system from Boston Acoustic (which I was leaning towards), or to save a bit of money and purchase a similar audio system from a manufacturer that was largely unknown to me at the time: Proficient Audio Systems. I was tempted to spring for the Boston Acoustic system: I had the cash, and I wanted to have "bragging rights" among my friends and peers who had made similar purchases over the years. But Jason convinced me that the system from BA would probably be "over-kill": since my screen (while an outstanding product from Pioneer) was on the smallish-side. As things have turned out, the audio system from Proficient has proven itself to be an outstanding match for my 42" Pioneer Plasma Screen, and the audio more than fills my viewing area with LOUD, crystal-clear sound. As an added bonus, Tim @ DHT crafted a nice custom cabinet enclosure during the installation process that fits snugly beneath the Pioneer TV, so the entire unit now completely fills the large vertical cut-out area immediately adjacent to the fireplace. The whole system looks like a single module that our homebuilder could have offered as a "Home Theater upgrade" when we purchased the house "new"; and not like something my wife and I added 8 years after we moved into the place. Their service after the sale has been nothing short of "Outstanding" as well. Jason, Tim and Mike at DHT have all been very helpful in getting my family and me up to speed on all the features of our now, 9-month-old theatre system. I've had them back out to the house on at least 4 occasions for some routine trouble-shooting: including after-hours and on weekends. These guys really know how to treat their customers right!

My husband and I contacted Definitive Home Theater because we were interested in a home theater system as well as a custom drywall build-out. Jason came out to our house and took some measurements of our wall and also discussed equipment options. After I told Jason what kind of wall we wanted built, he asked Tim to give us some preliminary sketches to review. We had a few minor suggestions and Tim modified the design to meet our specifications. Once the work began on our drywall build-out, Tim had to do some deconstruction on our living room wall to remove an existing small wall unit. Over the next 10 days, Tim built a beautiful and very large wall unit (with a lot of help from Mike) which included room for all of our equipment and three in-wall speakers as well as extra niches and ledges for displaying knickknacks. After painting the wall unit, Tim and Mike installed 2 in-ceiling speakers for us and they also added lighting in the niches of the wall unit to add to the overall design. As a final step, they hooked up all of our new home theater equipment and installed custom built grills to hide all of the equipment and wires. We are very pleased with the final design and set up. My husband got a fantastic home theater system and I got a gorgeous built in wall unit on which to display my home d?cor. All of the guys at Definitive Home Theater are very professional and the pricing is quite reasonable. We recommend these guys and would definitely use them again.
